About Sean Crookes

Sean Crookes is a Fine Artist based in Brisbane (Meanjin) whose work explores domestic life, kinship, and belonging. While Sean’s current focus is on oil painting his art practice includes sculpture, printmaking, and drawing. Sean’s work aims to engage viewers in a thought-provoking experience, encouraging them to reflect on their own stories while finding common threads within human relationships.
Sean spends his time honing his skills in art and sculpture. He takes inspiration from close observation of homelife, bushwalking, fly fishing and taking walks with his dogs Tom and Nala. He is a father and family man and loves sharing time with his wife and son.
